Have fun with making kaleidoscopes from found objects from the Scrap Box. Principles of reflection, refraction and symmetry will shine a light on the science of kaleidoscopes. Though this popular toy was invented in the early 1800’s, it’s still relevant today in an "upcycle" way, as you build your kaleidoscope with recyclables and green-thinking techniques.

Suzanne Higgins, Art Instructor for Daycroft Montessori School, will lead this project. Workshop fee is $10 for adults (ages 14 & up) & $5 for children (ages 7-13). This includes all materials & tools needed for the project, which will be held at The Scrap Box.
We are open to the public: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
