If you are looking for FREE yogurt, cottage cheese, cool whip or other such containers,
now is the time to stock up:
the bin is overflowing!


If you have been saving them for us,
please wait until we have more space for them.

Tips for bringing your materials to The Scrap Box:
  • Sort materials at home.
  • Be sure everything is clean!
  • Consult the
    • DO NOT WISH list
  • below, so you are not saving things we can't use.
  • When you come with your donation, please allow time for you to place the items on shelves.
  • Check in at the front desk, and sign our donation book.
  • Never leave things outside our door when we are closed.

The Scrap Box can accept donations of:
  • Baby Food Jars
  • Corks
  • Coffee cans
  • Buttons, sewing notions, craft supplies
  • Costume jewelry
  • Yarn
  • Fabric: 1/4 yard or larger, clean, no odor
  • Seashells
  • CDs

  • Deli containers: pinch it and if it cracks, toss it!
  • Egg cartons
  • NO glass, except baby food jars
  • Paper towel, toilet paper, wrapping paper tubes
  • Styrofoam food containers, cups, trays
  • Styrofoam packing pieces or peanuts
  • Odd sized paper bags
  • Video / Audio cassettes
  • Fabric: frayed, odd shapes, odor, clothing


  • Panty hose
    NO medicine bottles (even with labels removed)
    House Paint
    Used envelopes
    Magazines, except National Geographic
    Flower pots or vases
    Used stuffed animals
  • NO clemintine boxes

  • NO sharp or dirty objects

Shoe boxes are popular in the free area.
The Scrap Box is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
